About the Doctor: Dr. Michael Wong was born and raised in the Bay Area and graduated from the University of California at San Francisco School of Dentistry in 1983. Upon establishing his practice in San Mateo, he became active in the San Mateo County Dental Society, serving on the Board of Directors and as an award-winning Editor of its newsletter. He is a current member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry and San Mateo County Dental Society. Dr. Wong has studied and practiced cosmetic dentistry continuously and is a graduate of the Advanced Aesthetic Program at the Pacific Aesthetic Continuum. He keeps his knowledge current by participating in about 150 hours per year of continuing education in the field of restorative and cosmetic dentistry. His training with the experts in "appearance-related" dentistry and his commitment to continued education in advanced techniques has made him a leader in this field. Dr. Wong is married and has two sons, who keep him quite busy with all of their activities. In addition to being a devoted family man, he volunteers his time to various local and community projects. He is a member and Past-President of the San Mateo Sunrise Rotary Club and also serves on the Board of the Mid-Peninsula Boys and Girls Club. "It is important to me to give back to the community that supports me." In the spare time that is left, he enjoys mountain biking, hiking, skiing, volleyball and basketball. |
